  26.      "FINANCE:Annuity Payout or Time to Withdrawal"
  27.  
  28.      Ver 4.23 corrects a problem (bug!) that was discovered in earlier
  29. versions. In the past, the "BALANCE IS STILL GROWING" message would be
  30. displayed if the interest for the first period was greater than the initial
  31. amount withdrawn. The problem was, that this algorithm did not allow for the
  32. effects of inflation. That is, while the initial withdrawal may have been
  33. less than the interest earned in the first period, it would be quite
  34. possible that due to an increase in the withdrawal amount to offset the
  35. effects of inflation, that the balance would not be growing in later
  36. periods.

  38.      In version 4.23 and beyond, you will only see the "BALANCE IS STILL
  39. GROWING" message if the amount left in the annuity is greater on the 480th
  40. period than it is on the 479th period.

  42.      We suggest that you examine a "TIME TO WITHDRAWAL SCHEDULE" for more
  43. details. (Us the <Alt><S> key combination to send the schedule to a file,
  44. the printer or the screen.)

  50.         The manual is not clear about how the copy feature is used. Mr.
  51. Smart must copy the extra payments from period 1 to period 156. This may
  52. require you to change the value in the Copy From field.

  54.         "To summarize the details of the savings..."
  55.  
  56.         You must press <S> NOT <F10> as the manual says. Also, to get an
  57. accurate answer with regards to the total dollar amount of the extra
  58. payments. You must enter the Extra Payment/Deposit window and zero out all
  59. of the extra payments that were made AFTER period 156.

  65.      Specifically with regards to the TIME TO WITHDRAWAL routine, the
  66. "Out-of-Range" message may also indicate that the duration of the annuity
  67. exceeds 480 periods. (The other case when you will see this message is when
  68. the amount returned exceeds $99,999,999.) You may print or save an ANNUITY
  69. SCHEDULE if you want details beyond the 480th period.
